I’ll start this one out with a bang!
This is the last time I really saw Butch Walker perform live — 2003, in Atlanta. In less than a year, I’d be out on the West Coast, in a city that Mr Walker doesn’t seem to fond of playing. He’s played Seattle, and all up-and-down California, but rarely Portland. In the 5 years I’ve been out here, he’s played an opening set for Avril Lavigne and as a part in the revolving Hotel Café tour. I skipped the former, saw the latter. But this show in Atlanta was the last time I saw him play a full-on headlining gig.
And a fantastic gig it was.
If you need proof, the entire show was recorded and included as a “bonus feature” on Walker’s Live at Budokan DVD.
